dated 7 March 1633/34 being about to travel overseas burial wherever he should die all debts to be paid to my cousins Robert, William and Thomas Wotton - £40 each, within 12 months of the death of my mother, Elizabeth Cantrell, now wife of Henry Cantrell of Hardingham gentleman to my sister Mistress Mary Hayho, now wife of Henry Hayho - £100, within 12 months of my mother’s death to my sister Mistress Jane Crofte, now wife of John Crofte - £20, within 12 months of my mother’s decease to my godson Thomas Tilney, son of my cousin Henry Tilney - £20, to him or his father for his use, within 12 months fo my mother’s death to my cousins Robert Wotton and John Wotton - all my lands & tenements whatsoever in which I have any right, title or interest, in possession or reversion, lying in Hardingham, Hingham, Hackford and elsewhere in Norfolk, with their reversion(s) & remainder(s) to Roger and John, their heirs & assigns forever. Provided they each pay half of my debts & the legacies in my will. If either of them refuses, then I make void his legacy and it should go to the other instead Residue of goods, debts, rights & chattles to my cousins Roger and John Wotton Executors: the said Roger Wotton and John Wotton Signed & sealed by Thomas Tilney in the presence of Francis Webbestrr, and Robert Abbott and Richard Duke, his servants.
