Whilst shown on many family trees I am unable to find evidence of this Gilbert being the son of Thomas as shown on Trees and his Will mentions his other children but NOT a son Gilbert. Robert is also shown on family tree sites as having a Gilbert BUT the DOB is the same as Guiliemus which should translate as Wiliam. But I did also find a death record of a Gilbert that COULD be a son of Robert and Ellinora. One of them married Mary and had the children shown. There also seems to be confusion over a Mary Barrets and Mary Comelich. Either way one had Gilbert in 1680 so it all works out OK just which son of Robert and Ellinora is the correct one who married a Mary and gave birth to Gilbert that we do have birth registrations for? Gilbert also keeps trying to have a son who suvives called Robert the name of his father AND grandfather and whoes land he is gited.
Gilbert or GUILIEMUS. I have now spend days and days researching this. Most family tree sites have it as Gilbert BUT they have the same date of birth as I know GUILIEMUS was born. I cannot find any evidence that Robert and Elinora had Both a Gilbert and a GUILIEMUS and they certainly did not have them on the same date making them twins. One (either Gilbert or GUILIEMUS) Maries Mary. I guess it does not matter which if they are both brothers but I am convinced they are the same person and not brothers.
