| Muriel, John, of Roydon 1666-1667 ANF, will register, 1666-1667, fo. 44, no. 55 In the name of God Amen the 18th day of September in the year of our Lord 1666 I John Muriell of Roydon in the County of Norfolk, Linen Weaver being sick of body but of perfect minde and memory praysed be Almighty God Therefore doe make and ordain this mylast will and testament in forme following First I give and devise to Johan my daughter one parcell Inclosed land in Roydon afore called or knowne by the name of Little Eng__ld to hold to her and her assigns Immediately after my decease I give unto the said Johan my Daughter three roods of marsh ground lying in Roydon aforesaid toward Bressingham being coppy hold and holden of the (manner) of Roydon Hall on (Gieses) to hold to her and her assignes Immediately after my decease. I give and bequeath unto Richard my sonne my messauges or tenenet _________ in (Inowd) (called) with ye houses, yeards to hold from and after the decease Joane my beloved wife (to ___________) Richard my sonne and his heires upon condition with the said Richd my sonne of the seme messauges and said aforesaid shall and will truly pay or cause to be paid to said Johan my daughter ye some of five pounds of Lawful English money within one year next after the day of death of said Johan my wife at or in said porch of the parish church of Roydon aforesaid and so forth yearly (until) the some of twenty pounds be well and truly paid to the said Johan my daughter at or in the parish aforesaid and if the said Richard my sonne shall fayle in the payment of the said some of twenty pounds or any part or all thereof at any time plan (or _____________ efoe) the payment those of the (__________) it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Johan my daughter her executors or assigns into the said messauage Land and (misses or miffes) aforesaid with the appertanances to enter and the same to have hold occupy the (premises) and enjoy until the said some of twenty pounds and (Eusy) part and parcell this together with all such costs and damages as the said Johan my daughter her executors or assigns maybe putt into by reason of the non payment those of or any parish of shall be unto the said Johan my daughter well and truly sattisfied contented and paid Item I give and devise to John my sonne one close or pightle of arrrable land called or knowne by the name of the rood (Closessont) by estimation three acres and Halfe an acre of marsh ground lying between the land of John Rickarell gent. On the part of the East bye the Land of Robert Horne Clarke on the part of the west both lying in Roydon aforesaid to hold from and after the decease of the said Johan my wife to the said John my sonne and his heirs for every I give and devise to the said Johan my well beloved wife her executors and assisngs all my sowne Hay household stuff Implements of Household cattell chattells money & personall Estate whatsoever towards And I do ordain and make the said Johan my wife sole executrix of my last will and testament desiring her to see the same performed according to my trust in her reposed and I desire my loving friend Robt Clifton of Carleton roade to be the supervisor I witness whereof I the said John Muriell have here unto put my hand and seall the Day and year first above written Wittnesses: _____________ Horner, Thomas Deynes Be it know unto all men by those present whereas I John Muriell of Roydon county of Norfolk Linen Weaver made my last will and testament in writing baring date the said 18th day of Septemb the year of our Lord 1666 the for as much as I have changed my mind concerning the dispossing of one parcell of Inclossed lands in the same will mentioned otherly with I shall herby otherwise Dispose of I doe by the present codisill confirm and ratify the same and whereas by my said last will I did give and decist to Johan my daughter one parcell of Inclosed Land in Roydon aforesaid called or knowne by the name of Little Engs__ld to hold to her and her heirs immediately after my decease my will and meaning is now that Joan my loving wife shall have and enjoy the same parcell of Inclosed Land immediately after my decease for and during the same of her natural life And after her decease I will bequeth the same to the said Johan my daughter and her heirs forever Wittnesses whereof to my present Codesill I have subscribed my hand the 27th day of September the year of the Lord 1666 pronounced and published by the said John Muriell as his last will and Testament in the presence of ___________ Hortner and Thos.
