ESSEX. Inq. taken at Eystans ad Turrim, 22 February, 21 Edward III [1347].
Eystans ad Turrim. The manor (extent given) with the advowson of the church, held of the king in chief, as of the honour of Wyndlesore, by service of a knight’s fee, and rendering yearly for the ward of the castle of Wyndesore 10l. of silver.
Donemowe. 60a. land, held of John Gesors by service of 6s. 8d. yearly.
Brokesheved. The manor, held jointly with Margaret his wife, who still survives, of Elizabeth de Burgo, lady of Clare, by service of a quarter of a knight’s fee, of the grant of Thomas de Simplyng, rector of the church of Stanstede Mofichet, and John de London.
He died on 30 January last. His daughters, Isabel aged 5 years, and Annora (Ananora) aged 2 years, are his next heirs in blood.

SUFFOLK. Inq. taken at Dernkestone, 2 March, 21 Edward III.
Bildistone. The manor (extent given) held of the king in chief, by service of a knight’s fee.
He died on Wednesday before the Purification last. His two daughters, names and ages not known, are his heirs.

SUFFOLK. Inq. taken at Bildestone, 23 June, 21 Edward III.
Swynelond. A moiety of a knight’s fee, whereof Bartholomew de Burwash ‘le Fytz’ is now tenant, rendering 10s. yearly at the manor of Eystans ad Turrim.
Bildiston. The advowson of the church.
He held no other fees or advowsons in the county.

ESSEX. Extent taken at Chelmeresford, 8 July, 21 Edward III.
Wykes. A moiety of a knight’s fee, whereof the earl of Northampton is now tenant, rendering 10s. yearly at the manor of Eystans ad Turrim.
Little Brumle and Godmerston [co. Dorset]. Four knights’ fees, whereof John de Godmerston is now tenant, rendering 4l. yearly at the same manor.
Berneston. A quarter of a knight’s fee, whereof the heir of John de Berners, knight, is now tenant, rendering 5s. yearly at the same manor.
Little Chestreford. Two knights’ fees, whereof William le Bret is now tenant, rendering 40s. yearly at the same manor.
Little Brumle. A sixth part of a knight’s fee, whereof John de Brumle is now tenant, rendering a sparrow-hawk, or 2s. yearly.
Eystans ad Turrim. The advowson of the church.
He held no more fees or advowsons in the county.
