WILLIAM Peverel (-1100). The Cartulary of the Priory of St James, Northampton records the death “XVI Kal Mai 1111” of “Willi filii dci dni Willi Peverell”, another manuscript recording the year as 1100[243]. Assuming that the death date of his father and the estimated birth date range of his sister Adelise are both correct, it is unlikely that 1111 could have been the correct year of William’s death, considering that his parents had another son named William who was presumably born after the older William died.
