| The first known Ardouin is Hardouin of Hiémois (died between 853 and 859)1, count in Burgundy in 853. At the court of Charles the Bald, he played the role of missi dominici and had to pacify Neustria, particularly in Avranchin in 853. He was married to Warimburg, whom some genealogists link to the family of the counts of Troyes, whose parents are not known. He had two children: |
