Daughter of Waltheof, Earl of Huntingdon and Judith, she was also known as Maud. A Saxon princess and widow of Simon de Senlis, she married David in 1113. As a result of this marriage, David acquired the Earldom of Huntingdon as well as a legitimate claim to a large part of England. She gave the king four children: Malcolm, Henry, Claricia, and Hodierna.
