Notes

Will of John Stallon of Feltwell. This Will is wrinkled shredded with age, especially the bottom third. Filed as 1638, but proved 28 Feb 1642. Burial record found for John Stallon: 17 Feb 1642/3 at Feltwell St Mary Parish.
My Notes:
-To John Stallon the eldest sonn of my eldest sonne deceased one Tenement commonly called Geymers with the appurtenances therunto belonging & eight acres of coppie hold of ye Ladie Althams mannor which was sometimes _frd to ye sayde Tenement to him & his heires for ever.
-To ye sayd John Stallon my grandchild one testen, one fether bed, one bolster one blancket one coverlet one payre of sheets.
-I give & bequeath to witt John Lancelott & Thomas the severall somms of five pounds apeec to ech of them to be payd as they shall success__ly accomplish the age of one & twentie yeares with condicon & pro_se notwithstanding that the sayd Lancelott Watson the father shall within one moneth after my Decease yield & give up one bond of obligacon wherin I stand bound to make his wife my daughter worth to him in marriage the sum of fiftie pounds which money is truly payd according to ye intent therof & therefore if he the sayd Lancelot __ not not give up the sayd [land?] to my Exexutor then I make this my gift to his children utterly void & of none effect.
-To ye children of my sonn Edward Stallon of Feltwell to witt John Edward Francis Willm Osbert Elizabeth & Adam the sum of five pounds apiece as they shall successinely accomplish ye age of one & twentie yeares.
-To Francis & Richard the sons of John Stallon my eldest sonn deceased one Tenement with ye appertanances equally to be divided _______________________ for ever upon this condicon not __________________that they the sayd Francis & Richard doe equally pay unto Brigette & Anne ______ pounds apiece as the sayde Briggit & Anne [accomplish ther ages of 21 yeares] ________ & in case they shall not pay the ______________________ I give the sayd Tenement to my Executor _______________________divided between the sayd Francis Richard [Briggit & ] Ann _________

I constitute or[daine] ________my sonn Edward Stallon ___ sole Executor [of this] my last will & testament & ____________________for ever all my lands & tenements both [free & coppie h]old whatsoever which are not heretofore disposed & also all my [cattell ] & chattels which are not heretofore disposed. Item. I give & bequeath to the poor of the Parish of St Maries in Feltwell th____________________after my decease at the hands of ye minister ________
