| Will of Richard Butter of Methwold, woolcomber; Written 6 Nov 1681, Proved 30 Mar 1685 Will Mentions: -daughter, Ffrances -daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Daynes (from wife's first marriage) -wife, Elizabeth Will Notes: -I Richard Butter of Methwold … woolcomber being very sick & weake in body but of good & perfect remembrance… -To Frances my dafter & to Elizabeth Daynes my dafter in Lawe after my wifes decease all of my house wherein I now live both freehold & coppyhold with all and singular their & every of their appurtenances to hold to them the said Frances & Elizabeth & the longer liver of them & to the heires of them & the longer liver of them. -To Elizabeth my welbeloved wife all & singular my house hold stuffe and implements of household stuffe within doors & without. And alsoe all my cattle both horse beastes & cow beastes. -All ye rest of my goods and chattles unbequeathed I doe hereby give & bequeath unto Elizabeth my welbeloved wife whome I make my Sole Executrix of this my last will & testament she paying & receiveing all my debts and bringing my body decently to ye earth from whence it came. In witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand & seale the day & yeare first Above written. Richard Butter his marke. |
