A full color page drawn by Matthew Paris of 42 coats of arms beginning with the King of England. William Marshal's Coat of Arms are on the third row, fifth from the left, blazon described as, "party per pale or, vert, a lion rampant gules." Translated this means, shield divided vertically, gold on right, (shield holder's right, viewers' left), green on left or sinister (shield holder's left, viewers' right), standing lion (or leopard) with forepaws and one rear paw elevated with claws showing, face to right (shield holder's right, viewers' left), color red.
